DJ SLICK is a DJ/Producer from Perth with a passion for mashing up urban music with other genres and understands the pure exhilaration it takes to capture every listener in the crowd. He has shared the stage with an impressive list of artists including: Lil Jon, Ice Cube, T-Pain, The Game, LL Cool J, Sean Kingston, Boyz II Men, DMX, Ying Yang Twins, Lloyd Banks, Joe, K-Ci & JoJo, Bone Thugs-n-Harmony, 112, Baby Bash, Bobby V, Far East Movement, Omarion, Marques Houston, Horace Brown, De La Soul, Montell Jordan, Fatman Scoop, Kelly Clarkson, Marvin Priest, Havana Brown, Jessica Mauboy, Savage, TV Rock, The Stafford Brothers, Hook N Sling, Vandalism and Bodyrox & Luciana.
On a larger scale, DJ SLICK has performed at festivals and concerts alongside: * Supafest Official After Party (Perth) 2012 at Eve Nightclub. * Supafest 2011 (The world’s largest Urban festival) – featuring artists Snoop Dogg, The Game, Busta Rhymes, Taio Cruz, Nelly, Fat Joe, T-Pain, Ciara, Keri Hilson, Bow Wow, New Boyz and Benny D, Israel. * Winterbeats 2011 – featuring artists 50 Cent and G Unit, Fabolous, ‘Lil Kim and Mario. * Supafest 2010 – featuring artists Akon, Jay Sean, Kelly Rowland, Eve, Sean Paul and Pitbull. * Summerbeatz 2010 – featuring artists Akon, Flo Rida, Jay Sean, Ciara, Ja Rule, Travis McCoy and Stan Walker.
Best known for his flawless productions and playing his own original mash ups and remixes in his sets, DJ SLICK is recognised for his power mixing and his ability to rock the crowd. He creates harmonious relationships between vocals and instrumentals with a diverse range of genres from Hip Hop, RnB, Dancehall, Soca, Reggae, Reggaeton, to the opposing Dance, House, Electronica and Dubstep.
Amongst the DJ community, he is well recognised on AV8 Records for his cross genre mash ups. Also the “DJ SLICK Extended Mix” series are highly popular for his quality productions and forecast and upcoming hits.
He was highly involved in ”RnB Bounce” Perth’s first Urban radio show on Fairfax Media´s 96FM with number one ratings. This was difficult in an industry dominated by Commercial Pop, Rock and Dance. He was also involved in the radio show “The Drop” on Perth´s Not-For-Profit youth radio station Groove 101.7FM.
DJ SLICK organised a series of SHAKE Under 18 Dance Parties for the Perth youth, exposing the potential enjoyment of music genres in a safe, fun and social environment. He would play his own mixes streamlined with laser lights, smoke machines and confetti cannons. These highly successful events have been a testimony for under 18′s of Perth.
His work has been showcased in Perth nightclubs, interstate (Brisbane, Melbourne, Sydney) and internationally (Bali, Singapore, Hong Kong, Taiwan).
