Phend

Phend is the alter ego of Brisbane DJ Peter Henderson. He started his professional career at the age of 22, and seven years later Phend has rocked the late-night dancefloors of dozens of Brisbane leading venues, including Blackbird, Capri Sundays at Soleil Pool Bar, The Elephant & Wheelbarrow, Kaliber, The Racehorse, Union Jack’s legendary Thursday nights, The Port Office Hotel, Jade Buddha, Chalk Hotel, Oxford 152, The Victory Hotel, Sunday’s at The Normanby and The Fox Hotel just to name a few.

It was during his 3 year residency at Brisbane’s Fox Sunday’s that Phend established a loyal following amongst the patrons of the establishment who regularly visited specifically to see his sets and have now followed him to The Normanby’s Sunday nights.

His ability to read a crowd and react accordingly allows him to play to a diverse audience with his signature smooth and melodic sounds present in every set. His true passion is progressive house although his party sets see him play anything from Funky House, Disco to Electro. Such is Phend’s popularity these days, he has now performed at numerous huge events such as Feel the Heat, The Seafood Festival, Foxing Day and the Main Stage at all Normanby Car Park events. While playing at these Car Park events, he has played alongside some of the biggest names in the Australian dance scene like Sneaky Sound System, Will Sparks, Joel Fletcher, Bass Kleph, Allison Wonderland, Danny T, Silver Sneakers, Nick Galea, DJ Femme and fast rising Brisbane locals Tooshoes and Benibee and many more.

Peter – Phend

In an age where seemingly everybody’s a DJ, Phend’s one of the few emerging who can say so with vindication and credibility.
