DJ Aleks

DJ Aleks had a passion for dance music ever since he was a teenager. During war times in his native country of Bosnia, with no electricity, he would borrow a battery operated radio to tune in to a station with dance music on Fridays. He fell in love with music ever since. When he was in high school, he would use his lunch money to buy tapes by his favourite artists.

After moving to Australia, DJ Aleks continued his passion for music. In 2007 he was introduced to Traktor (DJ program) and bought his first controller shortly after. He took onboard tips from his friends on how to DJ professionally. His greatest influences are artists such as Tiesto, Armin van Buuren, David Guetta, Scooter, Paul van Dyk and The Prodigy.

Since 2008, DJ Aleks worked as a mobile DJ most weekends, rocking out events such as engagements, weddings, corporate functions and birthday parties. He worked in Brisbane venues such as The Fox, Sirromet Winery Function Centre, Decks in Southbank, Norths Kallangur and Redcliffe Dolphins Leagues Club, to name a few. He had to accommodate for different music tastes, clients and age groups. He likes reading the crowd and what they like, making sure they are having a great night out whatever the genre or style.

In 2014, DJ Aleks joined The Recharge Team. “I’m really looking forward to working with Recharge DJ’s and seeing everyone have a great time”
