DJ Brent

It all started with a passion for music and colleting CD’s as a teenager for DJ Brent. It wasn’t long before he would get put in charge of organising the music at his family’s parties. This ignited the fire that saw him go straight into DJ work at the local skating rink right after leaving school in 2001.

During his time at the skating rink, DJ Brent would not only play all of the hits and everyone’s requests, he would also MC for all of the games – Red Rover, Chicken Dance, and even the Limbo with that all too familiar song. Whilst it was a great start, DJ Brent says ” I certainly don’t miss the smell of the hire skates on a Mid-Summer afternoon”.

Whilst he was still at the rink, his career started to take off in other directions. Staring off with parties and weddings, DJ Brent found himself in at the local radio station (River FM 92.9) hosting a mid morning program showcasing a mix of 60′s 70′s 80′s and 90′s music. He also hosted a “Top 40′s” show. 2010 saw him leave the skate rink – his career was on the move. Nowadays you can tune in to hear him present the Wednesday Drive from 4 till 6 playing the latest top 40/dance club tracks and requests plus announcing the Local Gig Guide.

As a regular feature in Mary G’s and One Nightclub, DJ Brent’s talents have seen him play in such venues as Yamba Shores Tavern, Racehorse Hotel, Royal Hotel Gatton, and even Go Health Clubs. He just loves entertaining people and keeping the dancefloor packed all night. DJ Brent has even supported local and internationally known artists such as DJ Soli B, DJ Kronic, Checkrd Man, Joel Turner and DJ Femme.
