Volkan Kutmen

Born and raised in Istanbul, Volkan completed his studies in Ankara before returning to Istanbul to pursue his passion for music.

After meeting DJ Tarkan in 2001, this quickly inspired him to become a DJ himself. His first performance was in one of the famous clubs in Istanbul called JUKEBOX in 2003. This quickly had him hooked. Through hard work, his talents saw him performing in many clubs, parties and festivals all over Turkey, many in Istanbul.

Although he was fan of House Music and really related to it, he changed his style to R&B and Hip-Hop in 2007 when he started working for Club Riddim.

Volkan has continued his professional music career as a resident DJ at Club Riddim until 2015 which is very well known R&B and Hip-Hop club in Istanbul.

In November 2015 he moved to Australia and studied a Diploma of Sound Production in Brisbane. This helped him to expand his music knowledge and repertoire even further.

Now based out of Toowoomba, he has held residencies at The Country Club Hotel Dalby, The Russell Tavern and Truth Night Club in Surfers Paradise. He also performed at “City Heart Fashion Event” in Toowoomba.

Joining Recharge DJ’s in 2017, Volkan’s talents will amaze the audiences through many of our venues.
